Tanji

Tanji is a really typical Gambian fishing village. Tanji is a beautiful village with friendly people. Especially along the side of the river you see a beautiful nature.

Early in the morning you can see the men with their boats on the sea to catch the fish for that day. Around 5 a clock in the afternoon you can see how the fish will be downloaded. The women clean the fish and sell them on location. You can not get the fish fresher than this. Bird watchers can also enjoy their stay here. In Tanji is the bird reserve and the museum.

Tanji is about 30 minutes from the airport and 25 minutes from the Senegambia tourist area.
